Title: Senior Human Resources Manager (in-office/hybrid) Job Class: Exempt/Salary, $7,917-$8,750/month DOE Reports To: Director of HR and Operations

Summary:

SIBCR is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior (Sr.) Human Resources (HR) Manager to work with principal investigators (PIs), staff and administrators in support of the research and education programs at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System and Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The Sr. HR Manager will work in a team environment performing daily responsibilities interfacing with myriad administrators, PIs, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall HR guidance to the department, with supervision of HR Manager and Administrative Manager.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Maintains compliance of the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Oversees human resource's role in payroll and benefits including 403(b) retirement plan compliance. Responsible for HRIS changes, working collaboratively with accounting and payroll processing.
  • Fosters positive employee relations and addresses employee requests and grievances promptly.
  • HR KPIs: Monitor HR KPIs like cost-per-hire and turnover rates, advising Director of HR and Operations.
  • Be knowledgeable about HR technology to include payroll/HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

Position Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years' experience and knowledge of human resources including the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification (PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
  • Proven record of supervisory experience and senior level human resources duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and be able to analyze complex situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow-up regularly, prioritize, and independently perform complicated tasks with minimal direction.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in nonprofit and/or research administration.

SIBCR Pays 100% (less $100/month) for Employees and 75% of Dependent Premiums per month.
