DescriptionPosition Description The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning talent strategy with business objectives within designated various complex lines of business, to enable criticalbusiness outcomes and support the Bank's culture of maintaining a high-performing, equitable and inclusive culture. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related matters and mentor/coach to other HRBPs. The Senior HRBP acts as a teammate champion and cultural change agent. The role assesses and anticipates organizational talent needs, and seeks to develop thoughtful, relevant and integrated talent solutions by proactively partnering with our HR Centers of Excellence. Position Accountabilities Partner with Atlantic Union leaders to assess organizational structure and implement programs to support a high performing culture.
- Serves as a trusted partner to line of business leadership; initiates and manages senior level talent decisions with leaders; partners to meet organizational business objectives while cultivating AUB's desired culture.
- Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs for the designated lines of business. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition on build or buy plan.
- Leads the implementation of talent development programs within designated lines of business with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders, building skills and capabilities of the workforce and ensuring succession bench strength.
- Play a key role in the implementation of new initiatives and projects related to total rewards, teammate engagement and experience, internal mobility roadmap, leadership development and similar people related projects.
- Leads change management strategies and mentor other HRBPs. Determine and guide/organize complex change plans for designated lines of business. Educate leaders and other stakeholders on best practices in change management.
- Coach, train and foster leadership capability. Provide leaders thoughtful and effective coaching on various people related matters including organizational design or restructure, team development, teammate engagement and retention and overall team effectiveness.
- Support management in the ongoing assessment of the bank's values-based culture, through the execution and analysis of teammate survey results.
- Manages and resolves complex teammate relations concerns to include conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Consults with managers and teammates regarding the interpretation of Atlantic Union policies, procedures, practices and programs.
- Represent Atlantic Union with third party entities on teammate related decisions.
- Partner within HR to document critical policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide business insight through data analysis, research & benchmarking.
- Lead enterprise-wide projects to deliver HR expertise.
- Provides back up to other HR Business Partners.
- Adhere to all applicable law and regulations governing bank operations. Organizational Relationship
- This position reports to the Manager, HR Business Partners. Position Qualifications Education & Training
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, Psychology or related field
- 6+ years human resources experience with emphasis in Talent Development, Talent Review and Workforce Planning
- 4 years of strategic human resources business partner experience with regular interactions with senior and/or executive leaders
- SHRM certification preferred (PHR or SPHR) Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of general human resource practices.
- Strong track record of business partnership within a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Strong ability to coach and influence management at all levels and facilitate organizational design sessions.
- Exceptional partnership skills with HR and business lines.
- Solid presentation skills, conflict resolution, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to be a change agent in a high performing culture.
- Ability to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion within programs.
- Strong customer service, influence, investigation and negotiation skills.
