Job Title: Senior Human Resources GeneralistDepartment: Human ResourcesReports To: VP, Human ResourcesSUMMARY:Responsible for the development of recruiting programs, evaluation and selection of applicants, interprets personnel policies, counsels managers and employees, may conduct employee orientations, develops human resource programs, and similar tasks. Responsible for the accurate completion of payroll for both Adirondack Trust & Amsure on a bi-weekly basis. May provide support in the development and administration of compensation policies and programs. Manages the department in the absence of the VP, Human Resources. This individual must be willing to perform all necessary job functions and maintain employee confidentiality at all times.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Responsible for human resource activities such as staffing, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, benefits and payroll.2. Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.3. Develop & maintain relationships with service providers, HR professionals, Universities, and recruitment sources. Will represent ATC at various meetings and Job Fairs.4. Maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires.5. Directs the maintenance of personnel records and data systems.6. Act as the back-up to administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.7. Recommend, develop, and coordinate training and development courses.8. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation to managers.9. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.10. Recommend, develop, and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.11. Recommend and participate in the development of operating policy and procedural improvements.12. Prepare Annual Affirmative Action, EEO/VETS, ACA and other reporting as needed.13. Work closely with Retail Banking Administration to aid in retention and strategic staffing initiatives.14. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within HR operations.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:* 4-Year College degree/certification in Human Resources, business. or a related field.* At least 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience.* PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.* Strong communication, written and analytical skills* Strong PC Skills (Spreadsheet and Word Processing)* Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills, and a team orientation.* Must be able to work with minimal supervision and under deadlines, and able to prioritize effectively.* Ability to multi-task and prioritize conflicting demands.Equal Opportunity Statement:Adirondack Trust is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
