Scope:

We are seeking an experienced HR leader to bolster a growing organization. This individual will have the opportunity to grow and organize the HR department and work themselves into a senior leader of the organization. This individual will oversee the full scope of Human Resources and recruitment and should have multiple years of experience managing direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct team and be a subject matter expert in organizational structure, employment, compensation, employee payroll, employee relations, employee benefits, orientation/training/development, and policy/procedure development.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce human resources policies and procedures.
  • Manage all components of payroll administration including generation and data entry.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, as well as materials for employee training, for store personnel and food service employees.
  • Develop and manage recruiting and hiring processes for retail and corporate teams.
  • Manage benefit plans, health, dental, retirement plan.
  • Cultivate a positive, productive, functional, and effective work culture.
  • Maintain current and complete understanding of federal, state and local human resources laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations as it pertains to investigating employee claims and working with the operations team to take necessary action.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing the HR function in the Convenience Store industry.
  • 5-7 years of HR experience in progressive roles.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a retail setting.
  • PHR/SHRM Certification required.
  • Previous recruiting experience in a multi-unit retail setting.
  • Previous vendor management experience in the HR function.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills and project management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, mentor and inspire staff.
