Job Description:

Our client, a PE Backed global manufacturing company, is looking for their new HR Manager (Head of Human Resources) to join the organization.

Onsite Full Time in Columbia County, SC

The Head of Human Resources leads all HR activities within the plant site and plays a major role in shaping and driving the local culture forward. As a member of and business partner to the Plant Management Team he/she provides leadership and supports in the core functional areas of Human Resources including employment, recruitment and selection, labor relations, compensation & benefits, talent management, development, assessment and special projects. He/she is responsible to drive all strategic and operational people and culture initiatives in line with group and divisional HR strategy and guidelines. He/she reports to the Managing Director of the Plant.

What You Will Do:

  • Secure the functioning and professional delivery of all HR processes and services in compliance with local legislation
  • Provide professional daily HR advice to local managers and employees
  • Drive the implementation of the group and divisional HR strategy adapted to local business needs, structures and processes
  • Secure the implementation of corporate standards, structures, policies and guidelines across the employee life cycle
  • Lead, develop and supervise the local HR team to build a HR organization that fits the requirements of the organization
  • Responsible for estimating, forecasting and planning personnel requirements, trends and variances for personnel budgeting as well as monthly and annual reporting of cost variances
  • Partner with the Operations team to drive people related efficiencies and improvements across the plant - overtime, fluctuation, absenteeism, health & safety etc.
  • Oversee and monitor the payroll process and all the related activities of compensation administration including salary recommendations, the merit planning process and bonus & benefit processes
  • Watch and benchmark market trends and engage in local employer branding activities to attract talent - oversee and participate in all employment / recruitment & selection activities based on the Cflex competency model and recruitment systems to ensure that properly qualified employees are hired and onboarded professionally
  • Drive further all group wide as well as local Learning & Development processes and initiatives in alignment with the overall Plant strategy
  • Drive and facilitate the annual Succession Planning Process in the plant to ensure the identification and development of internal talents as well as the succession of key roles
  • Develop and drive diverse engagement and employee retention programs
  • Drive needed organizational development projects and implement organizational changes
  • Provide direction and support on all performance management and improvement systems, including the annual review process and performance improvement plans
  • Responsible for internal communication

What We Are Looking For:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with 5 - 7 years of progressive experience as HR Generalist/Business Partner experience in all HR areas, preferably in an industrial environment
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or MS in Human Resource Management/Organization Development or related field a plus
  • HR generalist, with an emphasis on employee/labor relations in a manufacturing environment, and with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in several functional/core areas of HR (recruitment, employee relations, compensation, employee and management development, etc.).
  • Must have experience in management of functional HR areas and the ability to successfully manage others not under his/her supervision to ensure desired results are achieved.
