Senior Human Resources SpecialistLocation: Conway, AR, 72032Job Summary:The Senior Human Resource Specialist will serve as a business partner to middle management, assisting in the direction of routine HR functions including hiring, employee life cycle management, employee relations, compensation & benefits advisor, and policy administration.Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for management and employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partners and provides support to in-line management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Partners with the Head of Human Resources to develop and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Administer HR programs such as employee onboarding, offboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and regulations
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR Leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Assist in maintaining employee records and managing HRIS systems.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including but not limited to talent acquisition, compensation & benefit practices, organizational strategy, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is highly desired or ability to obtain certification within two years of employment
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
