Job Description:
Senior Hydraulic / Mechanical EngineerOur client seeks a motivated and talented Senior Hydraulic / Mechanical Engineer at their Bayonne, NJ location to assist with the expansion of the company's technical capabilities to service customers. The Senior Hydraulic / Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for project management, design and application of fluid power and/or lubricant systems, controls, parts and products. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!LOCATION: Bayonne, NJREQUIREMENTS:
  • Design and troubleshoot mobile/static lubricant/hydraulic fluid contamination control systems
  • Prepare cost estimates using technical sizing and selection of supplier components to compare against the project budget
  • Build, assemble and wire prototype systems in laboratory/shop
  • Document, organize and control project scope, cost and deadlines by reviewing design, specs, delivery date, scheduling changes, cost monitoring and updating other departments on changes
  • Provide contract and technical direction and engineering sizing and selection to suppliers and provide procedures for construction and testing with contractual and technical direction
  • Oversee system installations and other assignments
  • Develop diagnostic manuals for Operation and Maintenance for Fluid Power / Hydraulic systems and lubricant filtration
  • Provide timely technical problem-solving solutions to support sales group and customers utilizing root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Position is in-office with up to 10% travelQUALIFICATIONS:
    • BS / MS in Engineering Field: Mechanical Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer
    • 3 - 7 years of work experience, required
    • Experience reading and creating schematics, layouts and drawings along with Bill of Materials for hydraulic and lubrication circuits
    • Familiar with current and trending hydraulic/lubrication technologies, inclusive of sensors and developing technology; as well as, familiarity with electric control panel design and electrical drawings reading
    • Provide expertise, experience and problem resolution for complex designs and project issues
    • Familiarity with common office and CAD software applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
    • Ability to work independently on multiple projects of short and long term assignments and also be able to collaborate with a diverse group of people
