A New York-based healthcare network is currently seeking a new Senior Google Cloud Information Security Architect to join their growing 5 person Security Architecture team. In this role, the Senior Google Cloud Information Security Architect will be responsible for implementing Google Cloud - both Cloud-Native and Google Platform across the enterprise for infrastructure & application automation. About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Standard business (EST hours)
- Setting: Remote with travel to New York a couple times/year
Responsibilities: The Senior Google Cloud Information Security Architect will:
- Navigate conflicting requirements from the Security, Applications and Cloud teams
- Set up different instances, set up controls, and advising when to use and when not to
- Evaluate applications as well as provide advice to applications teams
- Design and architect secure cloud solutions, considering aspects such as network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies
- Implement proactive measures and incident response plans to address cloud security incidents effectively.
- Represent Information Security in strategic planning and governance meetings
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Information Security experience, including 3 years of Cloud Security experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related field
- Prior experience architecting, designing, developing and testing an enterprise migration to Google Cloud in an over 10,000 employee organization
- Understanding load balancing, configuration of firewalls and other Security protocols/controls specific to Google Cloud - both Cloud-Native and Google Platform
- Understand data security policies specifically for healthcare allowing systems/data access for PII/PHI
- Understand load balancing, configuration of firewalls and other security protocols
