The Senior Security Engineer will report to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering and will serve as a key member of the Firm's Information Security team, supporting the implementation and management of information security controls, system hardening, and data protection objectives. Responsibilities
  • Working closely with peers across the information security team to ensure the security and availability of the Firm's technology systems and services.
  • Supporting our enterprise data loss management program to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of Firm data.
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Analyzing information systems utilizing various cybersecurity techniques and tools to aid in the detection and prevention of malicious activities across all threat vectors.
  • Assisting in the identification, implementation, and continuous improvement of system-hardening best practices.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and developments in cybersecurity.
  • Monitoring and assessing security threats, and continuously adjusting strategies to mitigate evolving risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development and operational processes.
  • Creating reports and documents to track incident progress and review results.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving security incidents as they arise.
  • Ensuring the compliance of all applications, systems, and network infrastructure with application security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assisting and supporting external audits and assessment activities, including any required remediation of audit issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of security engineering or operations
  • Expertise in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), endpoint protection, Linux and Windows environments
  • Previous experience serving in a similar capacity within an information security team
  • Previous experience in a similar role at or supporting a professional services firm
  • Strong understanding of security control, monitoring, and analysis technologies
  • Experience working in an environment that adheres to internationally recognized standards such as SOC2, ISO27001
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to communicate security risks to a non-technical audience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Currently hold of willing to pursue certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), Azure Security Engineer Associate, or other relevant certifications
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $160,000 - 185,000. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
