The Role Provable is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong cloud expertise to lead our expansion into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as part of our multi-cloud strategy. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP, while being able to work effectively across cloud platforms. We're looking for someone who can establish our GCP presence while collaborating with our existing AWS infrastructure and AWS focused teams. A strong preference for candidates who are crypto native, possessing an understanding of blockchain technology and its ecosystem. Responsibilities
- Build and establish our GCP infrastructure presence as part of our multi-cloud strategy
- Design and implement cloud architecture with a focus on GCP best practices while ensuring seamless integration with existing AWS infrastructure
- Establish and document cloud infrastructure standards and practices for GCP deployment
- Oversee the provisioning, operation, and management of cloud infrastructure across platforms
- Implement unified monitoring solutions across cloud providers to ensure high availability and performance
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform for multi-cloud deployments
- Provide level 2 on-call technical support outside of regular business hours
- Train and mentor team members on GCP services and best practices
- Collaborate with the Security Specialist to ensure consistent security practices across cloud platforms
- Perform cost optimization analysis and implement FinOps practices across cloud providers
- Stay current with cloud technology trends and evaluate new services that could benefit our infrastructure
- Work effectively with cloud partners across platforms to ensure optimal service delivery
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with at least 3 years of hands-on GCP experience
- Experience in multi-cloud environments and understanding of different cloud providers' strengths
- Expert knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform
- Strong background in automation using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Git, and GitHub workflows
- Experience in implementing and managing monitoring solutions across cloud platforms
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Architect certification
- Experience with blockchain infrastructure deployment and management
- Multi-cloud architecture experience
- Experience working with both AWS and GCP in production environments
- Strong foundation in blockchain concepts and, ideally, experience with blockchain projects
