**Opportunity :**
Parsons is currently seeking to hire a **Senior Instrumentation Engineer** to join our **water/wastewater consulting engineering group in Pasadena, CA** . This role supports project delivery primarily in California. This role allows for hybrid remote work ( meaning work 2-3 days per week from home).
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ The Senior Instrumentation Engineer provides instrumentation and control engineering services including design, preparation of design drawings and specifications, interdisciplinary review of design documents, construction support service, and commissioning support for control systems associated with wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
+ The Senior Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for design and oversee design for process and instrumentation diagrams, control strategies, control system network diagrams, control system input/output list, control panel drawings, and commissioning procedures. The Senior Instrumentation Engineer will also be responsible for responding to contractor's request for information during construction of facility, verifying that equipment meets design specifications, preparing design changes, and supporting startup and commissioning during construction.
**Requirements :**
+ Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or related engineering
+ 5 years or more experience in the instrumentation and control system design of wastewater treatment plant and/or industrial engineering environment.
+ Registered electrical or control system engineer preferred or eligible to obtain electrical or control system engineer registration in California within 6 months.
+ Good knowledge of the wastewater treatment and conveyance environment and the nature of design and construction related thereto.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Extensive experience in developing process and instrumentation diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, locations plans and installation details, and interconnection and wiring diagrams.
+ Experience in sizing and selection of control valves and primary elements commonly used for process control.
+ Experience in developing instrument data sheets and PLC input/output lists.
+ SCADA system design experience using a variety of communication technologies including ethernet, fiber optic networks and radio telemetry systems.
+ Experience in developing control panel wiring diagrams, control schematics and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD drafting software.
+ Experience in developing detailed control narratives for automatic plant operation.
+ Ability to write technical specifications.
+ Strong understanding of applicable US codes and engineering standards/practices.
+ Ability to conduct independent field investigations and collect field data to support design work.
+ Experience in reviewing contractor's submittals and providing construction support.
+ Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
+ Ability to meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
+ Ability to conduct multi-task and be flexible, along with ability to adapt to project deadlines.
+ Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Salary Range:
$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
