**About the Role** The Inventory Control Lead performs all receiving and inventory processing for inbound and outbound (overseeing the receiving, of inbound bags, and outbound supplies). you will focus on ensuring that individual and collective production goals are being met in your area. You will train and/or mentor others on processes and procedures related to inventory management and quality standards. You will be expected to give timely feedback to others and escalate concerns to DC Leadership when needed. Willing to take on new/additional tasks, responsibilities, and special projects. Excellent communication skills on an individual and group level, especially when communicating any concerns or questions. Report quality issues, so credits can be issued. You will thrive in this position if you are highly curious, passionate about keeping thredUPs logistics operations running smoothly, and want to take on more responsibility at work.

The hours for this position will be: **Monday - Friday: 5am - 1:30pm**

**In This Role Youll Get To:**

* Receive, inspect, inventory, document, and store shipments while ensuring thredUP stays in FIFO.

* Conduct weekly inventory counts, carousel inventory control, keep inventory area clean, efficient, and organized.

* Receive shipments against a purchase order in NetSuite

* Receive, and reconcile against all pertinent supplier information.

* Know when shipments are scheduled to arrive, and communicate if there are issues with deliveries.

* Ensure all inbound bags are received in a timely manner.

* Oversee data system for storage and tracking of goods and shipments.

* Communicate with suppliers, receivers, drivers, and staff for smooth

* Stage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment, materials, and space.

* Prepare and package freight.

* Gives timely and appropriate feedback for continuous improvement of processes.

* Participate in the completion of production goals and special projects.

* Effectively communicate work task Standard Operating Procedures, daily status information particularly during shift handoffs.

* Interact, in a professional manner, with Supervisors, thredUP management, technical experts and peers.

* Communicates appropriately regarding work issues, concerns, and when asking questions individually, or in a group situation.

* Trains and/or mentors others on processes, procedures, and quality

* May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**What Were Looking For:**

* Attention to detail, positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability.

* Solid understanding of thredUP quality standards and operations processes

* Strong and professional communication across all platforms: Email, Slack, Phone etc.

* Knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Google Drive (specifically Google Sheets) and Gmail.

* Ability to learn quickly and think critically

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with different personality styles.

* Experience/dexterity using handheld electronic devices (e.g., scanners, cameras, and smartphones), desktop computers, and voice dictation systems for data entry.

* Enthusiastic about building leadership skills

* Ability to keep business and customer information confidential

* Ability to exercise independent judgment and operate with minimal supervision

* Be able to apply moderately complex technical skills; as in, communication, self-motivation, decision making, and teamwork appropriately for the position.

* Have knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Google Drive, and Gmail.

* May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet the requirements of the positions.

* Ability to effectively communicate policies, and train procedures in a manner easily understood by associates.

* Behavior that must be displayed in the position: initiative, resourcefulness, professional, and positivity. Must be open to feedback.

**Physical Demands**: Moderate physical activity such as the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend down, and reach overhead. Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., push, pull wheeled clothing racks weighing up to 150 lbs.
