-The Senior IT Business Analyst is a seasoned professional, who works under limited supervision and is responsible for having significant impact on operational results within their area of specialization. This position will contribute and lead the development of overall business solutions designs including reengineering, implementing, enhancing and testing of solutions. The Senior IT Business Analyst is responsible for continuously developing and maintaining a deep and broad understanding of assigned areas to support business applications. Will troubleshoot issues and gather requirements for often complex enhancements. Manage and lead work on projects with the responsibility for the entire project life cycle. As a contributor on large projects, will be responsible for completion of deliverables in a timely and accurate manner. Overall, responsible for proactively working to solve and elevating issues that affect the completion of projects and propose recommendations on how to resolve these issues. The Senior IT Business Analyst will be responsible for developing strong relationships with business partners and influencing them on policies, practices, and procedures. Responsible for moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of assigned areas. Serve as the key contact for the business in select topic areas and the main contact for issue resolution on a day-to-day basis.
This position will have a key focus on helping to support and leverage Purdue's SAP Finance system going forward.This is a remote position.
What We're Looking For:Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related fields
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in designing and developing business solutions
- In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S4 Finance
Skills Needed:
- Demonstrated ability to:
- do root cause analysis, systems testing, defect tracking and resolution
- define business requirements and implement business process redesign
- Working knowledge of a module, module capabilities or knowledge of system design and analysis practices
- Knowledge or experience in business process improvement methodologies
- Personal competencies in integrity, flexibility/adaptability, stress management, judgment/problem solving and drive for results
- Ability to:
- effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization, as well as across the ITAP organization
- accept and instigate change and accept project priorities
- prioritize personal work tasks and work independently
