Senior IT Business Systems Analyst

Pay: $87,500 - $116,800 | Undisclosed yearly bonus
Overview:
The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst partners with business leadership to identify challenges, define opportunities, and recommend technology solutions. This role bridges internal and external stakeholders with IT service providers to drive organizational change and implement effective technology strategies.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Solution Design:
- Collect business requirements, design system solutions, prepare technical specifications, configure software, and manage data conversions, integrations, and enhancements.
Testing & Training:
- Conduct system testing and train end-users, system administrators, and support staff.
System Maintenance:
- Maintain and support business applications to ensure optimal operation.
Knowledge Management:
- Build expertise in:
- Application software configurations and integrations.
- Database structures and data processes.
- Business function policies, procedures, and deliverables.
- Emerging technology trends and market solutions.
Project Management:
- Manage technology projects within your portfolio and act as a subject matter expert.
User Support:
- Address user incidents, fulfill service requests, and administer system changes in accordance with best practices.
Production Support:
- Ensure production issues are resolved promptly and escalate as necessary to management.
Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor team members to enhance overall team capabilities.
Feasibility Assessment:
- Collaborate with IT management and end-users to evaluate the feasibility of potential system projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4-6 years of experience supporting business applications in an IT organization.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards (JDE).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and SQL.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under general direction with a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred:
- Expertise in JDE Business Functions and modules (e.g., Finance, Job Cost, Billing, Procurement, Service Management).
- Familiarity with third-party integrations with JDE E1.
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification(s).
- Project management experience.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to company or client locations.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments.
