The Senior Java Developer will primarily be responsible for designing and developing Java applications in a WebSphere environment using IntelliJ and Salesforce APEX in VS Code. The Senior Java Developer shall provide Custom Solutions team with technical expertise for developing and supporting Java applications and HATS Web Services. RESPONCIBILITIES
- Participate in development and support of Java applications, web services, SQL stored procedures, Salesforce Apex and lightning pages.
- Provide technical and analytical support to NYCERS development team and quality initiatives.
- Defect handling and problem resolution.
- Monitor new applications and verify deployment instructions for the team.
- Maintain IBM HATS Web Services.
MANDATORY SKILLS Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- 5-15 years of experience in developing large Java/J2EE applications.
- Experience working on Java 8.
- Experience in database design, stored procedures, and SQL in MS SQL 2012-2016.
- Able to multi-task and be pro-active in project planning, requirements gathering and setting priorities
- based on impact and risk to the business without supervision.
- Experience making REST calls in Java to third party APIs.
- Experience with JSON, AJAX, REST, and OAuth.
- Experience with GIT and Jira.
- Experience in IBM HATS 8.0.
- Experience using Jetbrains Intellij IDE.
- Strong SQL knowledge working with complex queries and stored procedures.
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to receive and analyze requirements and propose
- suitable solution that adheres to the team's methodology.
- Proficiency of Java development and support.
- Expertise in REST web services.
- Strong knowledge of IBM HATS and HATS SOAP web services.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and information gathering skills along with fundamental technique troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience in writing detailed application documentation
