Senior Lab Production Manager
Our customer is the world's largest and most trusted producer of Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs and adjacent laboratory products and services for the development and manufacture of biologics. They are searching for a Senior Lab Production Manager who will be responsible for overseeing three production laboratories in three different facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct production laboratory teams, including employee hiring, training development, evaluation, and discipline.
- Develop support staff to deliver personable, responsive support with in-depth technical expertise on our products and applications.
- Model and demonstrate superb, proactive customer technical support to key or strategic accounts as part of a cross-functional team.
- Identify, monitor, and analyze performance measures to make recommendations to upper management regarding staffing requirements, efficiency improvements, and performance standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Animal Science, Bioinformatics or related field and 8+ years of applicable experience.
- 4+ years previous management or leadership experience in a scientific support or applicable role.
- Demonstrated expertise in production laboratory setting, good laboratory practices, and working with regulated environments like the FDA or USDA.
- Capable of understanding and articulating complex scientific, interpersonal, regulatory, and business issues.
Desirable Qualities:
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Business, Molecular Biology, Biology, Animal Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- Technical relationship management with key or strategic partners.
- Demonstrated success as part of a cross-functional project or customer support team.
