Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Laboratory Scientist, you will:

  • Advanced Testing & Analysis:
  • Conduct and oversee complex testing on a variety of samples using advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation, including HPLC and ICP.
  • Perform and validate titrations, solid water analysis, and other specialized tests.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead interdisciplinary research projects and provide technical expertise to support team objectives.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of innovation, safety, and collaboration.
  • Equipment Management:
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operating optimally.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Data Interpretation & Reporting:
  • Analyze and interpret complex data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify trends and insights to drive research and development objectives.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and company protocols.
  • Champion safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong preference for expertise in the oil and gas industry.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficient in advanced laboratory techniques, including HPLC and ICP.
  • Familiarity with laboratory software and data analysis tools.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
