Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior LAN and Wireless Engineer to join our Connectivity Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our LAN and wireless networks. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, security, and wireless technologies to ensure the optimal performance and security of our network infrastructure. Job Responsibility:
- Design, implement, and manage LAN and wireless network infrastructure.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
- Manage and support network infrastructure for multiple locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing Level 3 support.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure network efficiency and security.
- Implement network security measures and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the network infrastructure current and efficient
Job Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering.
- Proven experience with LAN and wireless network design and implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with Network Automation and tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP and CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
