Job Title: Senior Landscape Architect & Department Manager

Our portfolio encompasses a wide array of projects spanning master planning, complex site design, urban gardens, rooftop gardens, and commercial ventures across the eastern seaboard.Position Overview:We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead and develop our esteemed Landscape Architecture Department. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of expertise in the high-end residential design sector. They will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, adept at managing and mentoring a team to consistently deliver outstanding results.Duties & Responsibilities:•Manage, develop, and oversee department staff, ensuring excellence in performance and adherence to budgets.•Mentor and cultivate talent within the team, overseeing recruitment and hiring processes.•Serve as a skilled project manager, adept at prioritizing tasks and responsibilities in alignment with construction administration and business development objectives.•Strong level of technical skills: design development, construction documentation, detailing-full understanding of the process and keen eye to the technical aspects of a project.•Demonstrate a thoughtful and creative design approach, capable of independently generating unique conceptual solutions while fostering a collaborative environment.•Proficient in freehand and computer graphics, with the ability to present compelling site plan renderings to clients.•Possess advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp.•Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the New England planting palette and the ability to develop proposed planting plans.•Utilize practical field skills for existing site conditions review, documentation, and the development of design base plans.•Collaborate effectively with architects, civil engineers, consultants, project managers, and contractors.•Navigat permitting processes, including zoning and by-law reviews, presentations.•Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in proposal development and other business-related materials.•Proficient experience with Microsoft 365.
Education & Licensure:•Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.•Licensure is strongly preferred.
