Job Description: Landscape Architect

We are working with a Civil Engineering company based in Southern area of Houston, TX who is currently seeking a Landscape Architect to collaborate with design teams and develop solutions throughout all project phases. The role involves contributing to various sectors, including residential, commercial, municipal, mixed-use and urban design, with a focus on producing high-quality designs and documentation. The Landscape Architect will also support the Director of Engineering in organizing workflows and coordinating with project teams.
Responsibilities:
Technical:
- Develop design solutions and prepare construction documents, bid packages, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site planning for various scales, including residential, commercial, and public projects.
- Interpret development ordinances and codes, ensuring design approval.
- Assist with specifications, design guidelines, and technical documents.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and assist in quality assurance processes.
Interpersonal:
- Foster a positive team culture and maintain client relationships.
- Participate in both internal and external events.
- Focus on delivering high-quality work to support business development.
Management:
- Limited supervisory responsibilities.
- Mentor and guide junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- RLA licensure (Texas Preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in landscape architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, and SketchUp.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage project timelines.
