Job Description:
Role Profile The successful candidate for the Site Reliability Engineer role, SRE, will be reporting to the Head of Client Digital Technology, Post Trade. They will be developing an AWS cloud-based infrastructure supporting the Equities matching and confirmation service. The SRE will be part of an Engineering team provisioning the required platform, using Infrastructure as Code. Additionally they will provide automated solution for provisioning of the CI/CD and technical operational support for the project.   • Design, build and maintain infra for the platform, focusing on availability, stability and reliability.
  • Responding to incidents, being on call and identifying the root cause analysis of incidents.
  • Support complex application stacks across multiple AWS-based cloud environments.
  • Cost optimisation of the platform.
  • Provide insight and mentorship across the engineering of SRE standard processes and technologies
  • Automate the deployment of Cloud based resources to ensure high availability, performance, scalability and security.
  • Excellent understanding of CI/CD methodologies with good hands-on experience.
  • Enable product teams through implementation of deployment pipelines and deployment strategy from dev to prod in a cloud based environment.
  • Support the development team in defining their processes, running proof of concepts, using standard methodologies and selecting best-fit solutions
Key Skills, Experience and Behaviours
  • At least 5+ years of strong hands-on build experience in AWS Cloud echo system i.e. EKS, being able to trouble shoot issues
  • Having strong Linux skills, good knowledge in Network and Data management
  • Excellent and experienced understanding of IaC principles, being hands-on using Terraform
  • Extensive experience in developing/handling CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
  • Experience with Container technologies and tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm etc.
  • Experience deploying apps to Kubernetes.
  • Experience using code analysis and security tools such as Semgrep and BlackDuck.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as groovy, bash or python.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog etc.
  • Successful Agile delivery experience.
  • Ability to use wide range of Open-source tools.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only): LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $133,400 - $248,000. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/ bonus plan ). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
