Navitas Resourcing Group partners with the US renewables market supporting developers, IPPs and funds to hire senior-level professionals who accelerate the energy transition. A tremendous opportunity has arisen to join a premier player with offices across the US in the role of Legal Counsel. Reporting to the SVP and joining an existing team of 5 this would suit a JD-qualified attorney with renewable transaction experience seeking to go in-house or an established lawyer who has development experience seeking a lateral move into the renewable space.
Responsibilities
- Advise in-house clients on matters related to land acquisition, permitting, real estate, project development, interconnection, project siting, regulatory, and related matters.
- Ensure legal compliance and risk management across the company's departments related to the development and construction of renewable projects.
- Create real estate documents required for the development and construction of renewable projects, including options, purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, subordination agreements, surface waivers and other real estate documents.
- Prepare and negotiate interconnection agreements, permits, regulatory documents and other contract related to the development and construction projects.
We are seeking candidates with the following experience:
- JD qualified and membership in at least one state bar jurisdiction
- 3 years post-graduate legal experience
- Either in-house experience or renewables transactions experience
- Interested in Hybrid setup
