Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $33.99 - $51.01/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Job Description Cox Enterprises is currently looking for a
Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team in
Atlanta, Georgia. The Role: The Senior Litigation Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Litigation Center of Excellence (COE) and its litigation and eDiscovery services. The Litigation COE serves Cox Enterprises as well as Cox Communications and Cox Automotive.
Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys in managing and administering all cycles of litigation matters with a specific emphasis on supporting fact development, discovery, and dispositive motion practice.
- Organize and manage discovery materials with the assistance of fact investigations, document collections, along with oversight of eDiscovery processes including Protective Orders, Electronic Stipulated Protocols, document productions and deposition preparations.
- Ability to communicate with business clients, witnesses, and preferred counsel regarding case updates, document requests, and witness and deposition coordination.
- Coordinate billing issues with Legal Operations Team and interact with accounting teams to obtain settlement payments.
- Assist with litigation matter management by maintaining various dashboards, metrics, and reports.
- Provide other as-needed support on litigation matters with attorney supervision.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' legal experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field.
- Experience supporting a litigation team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be initiative-taking and a good planner who is very meticulous with the ability to organize and prioritize.
- Display a strong client service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.
- Demonstrated strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively.
- Demonstrated good judgment, integrity, confidentiality of business client information and understanding business values and ethics.
Preferred Qualifications: - Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
- Law firm and/or in-house legal experience.
- Experience with Litigation Support Applications (e.g., Reveal and/or Relativity platforms or other hosting technologies) and Legal Hold applications.
- Proficiency with technology including eBilling applications (e.g. CounselLink), Pacer, Lexis/Nexis, and other internet research tools.
