Job Overview:A regional insurance defense law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Trial Attorney to join its team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in complex insurance coverage matters and will serve as lead counsel throughout all phases of litigation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned litigator to handle complex cases, work with business teams, and mentor junior attorneys in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Location:Duties:Serve as lead counsel for complex insurance coverage matters in federal and state courts.Manage litigation for insurance coverage issues, including motions, trials, status conferences, and procedural concerns.Draft and review motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.Prepare and evaluate discovery strategies, both written and oral.Provide legal counsel and guidance on acceptable legal positions, potential outcomes, settlements, and awards.Handle a caseload efficiently, including scheduling and preparing for depositions and trials.Ensure all administrative tasks (e.g., billing, time tracking, case reporting) are completed accurately and on time.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure client service excellence.Mentor and coach junior attorneys and staff, offering guidance and clarification on legal issues and assignments.Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of legal work.Requirements:Minimum 10+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or legal practice, preferably in insurance defense.Expertise in handling general liability, professional liability, construction, complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, or medical malpractice cases.Ability to manage complex cases from inception to conclusion.Strong decision-making, legal analysis, and strategic thinking skills.Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Proficiency in MS Office and other legal software tools.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.Skills:Expertise in insurance defense and complex litigation.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presence.Project management and leadership abilities.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume cases.Ability to collaborate with legal teams and clients effectively.#J-18808-Ljbffr
