HybridAn ideal senior living community in Canton, GA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Living Controller to oversee the financial operations of multiple service locations in their growing memory care facilities management organization. This role involves preparing and compiling monthly financial statements, ensuring accurate bookkeeping at each location, and working closely with an external accounting firm for tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial operations across multiple locations, strong accounting expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of their organization while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement and significant growth opportunities.Senior Living Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data by reviewing the work of onsite bookkeepers across multiple locations
- Preparing consolidated financial statements
- Collaborate with the accounting firm for annual tax preparation
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank payments
- Ensure timely payment of taxes and large insurance-related equity packages
- Analyze operational revenue and identify reasons for changes in financial performance
- Work with business office managers to address discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting procedures
- Manage and oversee bank interest payments and record them accurately
- Use Aline software for financial operations, reporting, and data management
- Provide leadership and authority, working alongside the President to address performance issues within the financial teams
Senior Living Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, including financial statement preparation
- Requiring experience working on financial reporting for a multi-entity company
- Experience managing financial operations for organizations with multiple service locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with Aline software is preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Calm, composed demeanor with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
- Experience in financial operations within the healthcare or service-based industries is a plus
