Position Summary:As a Senior Logistics Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing warehouse operations, optimizing logistics workflows, the transportation network, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across Japan. This position requires an individual with an autonomous and proactive mindset. You'll oversee various logistics functions while working closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), forwarders, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance.Details and Responsibilities:Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations, and ASP policies, procedures, and guidelines, this position encompasses:Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the operations of our warehouses, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with internal and external regulations.Monitor the daily shipment activities (Inbound/Outbound) with 3PL.Logistics Provider Management (3PL): Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring service quality and adherence to performance agreements.Responsible for accurate inventory data and discrepancy resolution.Scrap Management: Oversee and streamline scrap activities across Japan, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing waste.SOX-Control Activities: Oversee Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance-related activities within logistics and warehouse operations.Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.Transportation Network Optimization: Oversee and continuously improve transportation networks to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead efforts to identify opportunities for operational improvements across the logistics network, focusing on process efficiencies, cost savings, and waste reduction.Support Month/Quarter-End activities.Perform other duties as needed to support the Japan Supply Chain Group.Qualifications:Bachelor Degree is Required.Years of Related Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience working in logistics, preferably with a 3PL or forwarding company.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses, and Affiliations:Native in Japanese. Business English is a plus.Proficient in ERP System (SAP) / EDI Setup knowledge is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.Acute attention to detail.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Self-Starter.#J-18808-Ljbffr
