Overview:

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Management Analyst to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This individual will support senior leadership and project tea to support service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who promotes collaboration and embraces learning and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures
• Conduct work simplification and measurement studies
• Prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
• Leads the application of analytic techniques and helps define project objectives and strategic direction.
• Is responsible for providing leadership and vision to client and project teams around the methodology.
• Resolves complex problems, which require an in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.
• Directs the activities of more junior Analysts or other staff as necessary on activities related to the application of analytical techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications:

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses expertise and experience with NAVAIR or other Navy SYSCOMs. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Senior expert with extensive knowledge and experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles and has demonstrated managerial and supervisory skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands. 2 years of supervisory/lead experience is required.
• Experience performing complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, communication techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems is desirable.
• Must have experience and knowledge sufficient to support senior Navy Leadership in facilitating sand developing command-wide strategic planning and Enterprise level vision documents, administering large organization executive board meetings, and developing command-wide documentation.
• Experience using advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint (experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desired

Experience: At least five (5) years of experience as an analyst of which at least 3 years must be specialized in a program management, technical, or business analysis discipline; and included in the five (5) years, there must be three (3) years professional experience supporting NAVAIR programs or offices.

Education: BS or BA degree are required. An AS or AA degree and an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS.

Location: Patuxent River, MD.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

• Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
