Offers will be based on the skill, knowledge, and experience a job candidate brings to the job and is consistent with other employees performing the same or similar work.Some of what you'll be doing:As the Senior Manager, Aviation Capital Programs, you will lead and manage the Capital Programs team in the development capital projects that meet the long-term Aviation Division goals and priorities. You will provide leadership across multiple Aviation functions to serve the Airport's interest during the Capital Project Development process from project inception through development, design, and delivery.You will lead and manage Aviation Capital Programs department staff and provide continuous performance management of staff.You will create and communicate a shared vision within Aviation Division for the strategic development, coordination, and sequencing of all Aviation large and small capital projects within the context of programmatic prioritization, affordability, operational impacts, and resource availability.You will build, scale, and maintain programs that drive strategic priorities from idea to implementation.You will develop and communicate potential conflict solutions and recommendations so decisions can be made to mitigate project impacts with an emphasis on achieving long-term Aviation Division goals.You will manage the Capital Programs team in the program/project planning, definition, and scoping that will assist in identifying pre-project necessary activities, project linkages and dependencies.You will oversee the development and coordination of required documentation for Aviation division briefings and approvals to senior leadership, the Investment Committee, Airport Airlines Affairs Committee (AAAC) and Port Commission.You will identify, plan, and implement key initiatives to improve project development quality, reduce project costs growth, increase program delivery efficiencies, and reduce rework and repeat operational impacts, resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.You will develop strategy and oversee implementation of formalized communication flows to project stakeholders, including team members, leadership, program/project delivery, and external organizations.Who you are:Experienced – You have six (6) years of experience in project planning, development, and/or design in the field of engineering, architecture, facility management, finance, or airport operations. You also have three (3) years of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process.Desired – We hope you have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or Airport Management.Committed to Equity – You will apply equity and exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. You can manage multiple, sometimes competing, stakeholders' interests and facilitate conversations discussing solutions.What else you need to know :Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role.Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management's discretion.Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
