ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Data Center and Network Infrastructureto lead a team of highly skilled engineers in managing our data centers and network infrastructure, including cloud services. This role reports to the Director of Customer Service & Operations. As the Senior Manager, Data Center and Network Infrastructure, you will oversee multiple data centers across various regions, as well as the network between them with 3rd party partners.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of engineers (team size 30), providing direction, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.
- Data Center and Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of multiple data centers in various regions, and Cloud infrastructure and services, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Implement and maintain high-quality standards across all platform and network operations.
- Service Level Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), take corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed targets.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of data center and network operations. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats to proactively address potential security risks.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and vendors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at improving service operations and implementing new technologies or processes.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the function operations budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost efficiency.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present detailed operational reports, including analysis of incident trends and performance metrics, to senior management.
Qualifications:
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center and network operations, including cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of systems management: Monitoring and Performance, Configuration, Security, Capacity, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Automation and Documentation.
- Experience with Cloud operations and technologies, such as DevOps, configuration management and code deployment.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework with ITIL certification required.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Experience with ISO 27K or other security certifications.
- Proficiency in using ServiceNow and Jira for IT service management and project tracking.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Experience in fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience in the aeronautical or related technical/IT/telecommunications sector.
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies or equivalent process improvement frameworks.
