As the Senior Manager QHSE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance strategy across five sites. This role requires a proactive leader who will align strategies with GEA Group standards, foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners, and ensure a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE compliance strategy for 5 sites, aligning with GEA Group standards.
- Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners in line with safety values.
- Offer consultancy to senior managers and local HSE personnel.
- Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings, appoint external advisors, and liaise with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct risk assessments and resource allocation for risk reduction.
- Implement GEA Group HSE policies, provide policy development and implementation.
- Facilitate plant specific HSE training and development, deliver training as needed.
- Promote HSE staff collaboration and information sharing.
- Establish an Integrated Management System for HSE and Quality.
- Oversee sustainability and emissions initiatives.
- Organize and support audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Stay updated on HSE developments, regulations, and best practices.
Quality:
- Support the development and implementation of a quality management system.
- Serve as a local quality expert, assist with purchasing activities and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant requirements.
- Manage warranty programs and maintain KPI documentation.
- Apply continual improvement tools for process excellence.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Education Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health, Safety, and Environment (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in the quality, health, safety, and environment field.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Broad management experience in HSE areas, including leading a Safety team of 5+.
Professional Knowledge and Experiences:
- Versatile experience in complex matrix and centralized organizations.
- Proven expertise in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Lean Six Sigma
- Proficiency in various Quality Management System disciplines.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Other Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy in statistics and report writing.
- In-depth understanding of international standards and procedures.
- Accident and incident investigation experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in change management.
- Adaptable to working with diverse international teams.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Collaborative, tactful, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of handling pressure.
- Careful and systematic with sensitive technical data.
- Essential expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word, with knowledge in other MS Office applications as a plus.
