POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the HCM Continuous Improvement Team, the Senior Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and adoption of global standard processes and enhancements driven by the varying components of the Workday platform.

  • The Senior Manager will need to lead multi-faceted project teams and collaborate with senior members across the organization at a Corporate and Network level to deliver strategic programs.
  • The Senior Manager will guide and oversee the CI Analysts in tasks related to gathering, validating, and documenting various system information and needs.
  • Manage and develop team members across projects and regions in conjunction with the Senior Director, HCM CI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Global Process Management
    • Lead IPG HCM strategic initiatives that drive transformational change as a subject matter expert in system usage, process impact and change management to achieve program directives.
    • Collaborate with Workday Teams, HR Shared Services (HR SSCs) and third parties to document detailed requirements for Workday system or business process changes.
    • Initiate improvements to the Workday toolset to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensuring workflows and processes driven by system functionality stands up to Workday and IPG HCM Governance Structure and is fit-for-purpose.
    • Evaluate that Key Performance Indicators support all processes and proposed amendments and these are visible and measurable.
    • Candidates should ensure that they are staying informed about developments within the Workday System, Agencies and HR SSCs and that any impacted processes are continually evaluated.
  • Solution Adoption
    • In conjunction with the Business Transformation Team, actively monitor the various functional, business and geographical units to ensure that they are compliant with the existing Workday processes.
    • Lead projects with global management teams and stakeholders to actively deploy additional Workday modules and support enhancements.
    • Evaluate change requests and support the resolution of these with stakeholders and Workday teams.
    • Ensure that all processes and enhancements are clearly communicated and supported by training and process documentation.
    • Negotiate with the relevant Process Owners, Agency and Shared Services to resolve conflicts and drive the adoption of standard processes.
    • Manage, define and deploy independently, priority projects, as necessary.
  • Training/Communications
    • Candidates need to be proactive in initiating training where required and actively seek opportunities to enforce standard processes through training.
    • Collaborate with IPG s HCM Training Team to enhance training materials for specific learning needs.
  • Deployment Activities
    • Candidates will be involved in supporting the delivery of the Workday platform to new markets and/or Agencies.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-10 years of work experience in Workday and HR Operations or related HCM support experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday system functionality and business processes.
  • Understanding of Op Model process design and Workday configuration.
  • Ability to lead a project effectively utilizing business acumen.
  • Be proactive, show initiative, empathy and creativity in the workplace.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent organizational skills, good judgment and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio a plus.
  • Ability to collect business requirements and document them effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English.
  • Proficient at producing and delivering presentations with confidence.
  • Candidate needs to be prepared to:
    • Support the testing of Workday functionality and deployments.
    • Train users in new solutions comfortably & confidently.
    • Provide leadership related to data conversion activities.
    • Be flexible at times with working hours in a consistently moving environment.

NYC SALARY RANGE:

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee s/applicant s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
