The Senior Manager of Infection Prevention is the subject matter expert in the epidemiology and natural history of infectious processes and pathogens, recognition of clusters and risk factors for infection, and methods for breaking the chain of infection. Participates or facilitates in strategic planning activities related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention program to support Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, and Outcomes management. Designs, facilitates and leads multidisciplinary team projects across the continuum of care and is recognized as an expert in Infection Prevention with a history of successful outcomes. Fully integrates performance improvement methods into the Infection Prevention program in order to achieve improvement in Safety, Quality and Effectiveness of patient care. All senior managers are accountable for implementation of and compliance with policies, practices, and processes of the infection prevention program at the facility, region, division and system level. In collaboration with the IP leadership, IP medical director, and IP peers, all IPs will follow all current local, state, and federal guidelines, standards, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Lab Sciences, Microbiology, Nursing, Public Health, Related health sciences field, or equivalent education/experience.
* National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology upon hire.
* 8 years Quality and patient safety or other directly related healthcare experience.
* 6 years Infection Prevention or Epidemiology.
* 6 years Leadership.
Preferred Qualification:
* Master's Degree in Lab Sciences, Microbiology, Nursing, Public Health, Related health sciences field, or equivalent education/experience.
