In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage a team of consultants, working closely with public sector clients to deliver innovative solutions and drive impactful results. Your expertise will help shape the future of public services, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence in every project.YOU WILL:
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients, understanding their needs and challenges to provide tailored consulting solutions.
Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of projects and set clear expectations and project outcomes; monitor and track progress and identify risks and challenges in a timely manner; develop and lead the strategic approach and direction of new projects. Manage all aspects of operational needs, with a focus on financial performance, engagement performance, account planning and coordination, and pursuit playbooks.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Strategic Development: Contribute to the development and execution of the consulting practice's strategic plan, identifying new business opportunities and driving growth.
Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, providing thought leadership and expertise to both clients and internal teams.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all consulting engagements are conducted in accordance with company policies, methodologies, and ethical standards. Manage contract compliance and associated processes related to subcontractors, statewide contract vehicles and procurement.
Business Development: Lead the development of responses to Request for Proposals and Requests for Information.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
Public Sector experience mandatory.
Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
7-10+ years of robust management consulting, advisory, or professional services.
Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, lead project engagements, attract new business and build lasting professional relationships with senior client executives.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive business growth.
Experience developing proposals that successfully drive clients to choose a business solution.
Deep understanding of public sector operations, policies, and regulatory environments.
Ability to travel as needed to meet client and project requirements.
Must reside in theNortheast United States.
