JOB DESCRIPTION: Commvault is looking for an experienced leader to join our Marketing Operations team responsible for Reporting, Insights and Analytics. The reporting generated by this team is key to the strategic decision making of the marketing organization and will be used to align marketing both internally and across the company. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are imperative to this position as well as the ability to apply both business and analytical acumen in a face-paced, multi-dimensional environment.This role will report to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations and partner with teams across the company to carry out the strategic vision of Marketing reporting and analysis. To be successful in this role the candidate must be comfortable in a leadership position, with the ability to articulate financial results and insights to senior business and financial leaders. This individual should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the strong desire to dive deep into data results and problem solving.
Who you will do:- Lead the design, development and performance of complex business models used to analyze marketing pipeline, attribution, and campaign results as well as profiling for customers & prospects.
- Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of marketing dashboards shared throughout the organization driving a common set of metrics and language.
- Partner with centralized data/analytics team and understand core systems to: determine best data sources, repositories, visualizations, and tools used to carry out scalable reporting; and ensure a robust, reliable data infrastructure that is available, consistent, and timely, used to support ongoing and ad hoc reporting needs with a focus on data quality.
- Lead communications to and coaching of partners and stakeholders on the use of marketing reporting, establishing a single source of truth.
- Provide impactful data driven insights that maximize return on investment in a clear, concise manor, communicating the story while offering suggestions for improvement.
- Understanding of the underlying operating model, and its impact on reporting with the ability to clearly articulate process improvements that will enhance reporting and insights.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics to be distributed & presented across the marketing organization as well as more broadly at executive priority setting and board level meetings.
- Utilize & analyze large amounts of data to understand historical trends, answer business inquiries, profile customers and prospects for marketing activities, and develop future predictions.
- Responsible for a team of marketing operations analysts supporting regional and global marketing reporting and analysis including Field, ABM, PLG and campaign analytics.
- Prepare and deliver executive level presentations in PowerPoint.
Who you are:- Bachelor's degree with concentration in finance, business analytics / operations or related analytical field.
- 10+ years of experience, operations, reporting or business analysis (preferably in a marketing capacity).
- Experience in a managerial role, leading a team in a faced paced environment with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive to completion.
- A leadership presence with the ability to work cross functionally to deliver actionable intelligence.
- Ability to articulate insights of complex, multidimensional data, draw conclusions, and propose solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Advanced skills working with complex data sets, knowledge of relational databases, data querying and scoping (basic SQL), as well as a power user of excel.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to recognize problems with data and work cross functionally to resolve.
- Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to tell the story.
- Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.).
- Experience working with Sales/Marketing technology (i.e. Salesforce, Bizable, Marketo, 6 Sense).
- Marketing Automation experience a plus.
