They are responsible for internal communication channels such as the intranet and all-staff digital communications; internal crisis or emergency communications; organizing and managing organization-wide hybrid meetings; and developing company internal communication outreach tools. The role requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in crafting impactful communications that align with organizational goals. As a member of the Communication Team, this individual will also be asked to assist with other communications matters such as photographing events for social and internal communications and staffing news media shoots at our five parks in NYC; and assisting with external digital content.Principal ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with organizational goals and values.Manage and implement internal communications using such tactics as:WCS's intranet siteOurWCS.org: Email broadcastWCS's weekly newsletter This Week @ WCSWCS's crisis communications systemWCS Employee HotlineWCS ForumsWCS Town Halls.Assist with posting on WCS.org and WCS social handles.Drive effective communication channels to inform employees about company initiatives, policies, and updates using tactics noted above.Craft, create and write engaging content for internal platforms, including newsletters, intranet, and other communication channels.Collaborate with department heads to ensure consistent messaging and information flow across the organization.Use crisis communication plans and outlets (Everbridge) to ensure a rapid and effective response during emergencies or critical incidents and the WCS hotline.Plan, organize, and execute webinars and virtual events to engage internal and external audiences.Research and utilize technology and platforms to optimize the reach and impact of webinars and virtual events.Perform other administrative duties as needed, including staffing events and managing news shoots.Qualification RequirementsBachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.4 to 6 years experience in internal communications.A strong understanding in external and internal communications and how they are connected.Ability to travel 40% - 50% of the time both internationally and domestically.Able to visit all (5) WCS facilities.Valid Drivers License.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong project management and organizational abilities.Strong social media and technical skills.Proficiency in utilizing various communication tools and platforms such as:Managing and publishing digital content via modern SharePoint.Publishing content on various social and external web platforms.Managing and publishing content via enterprise communications tools.Requested Application Documents (Serious Inquires Only)Please note to be considered, you'll need to provide the following documents with your application:Cover LetterResumeEqual Employment Opportunity DisclaimerWCS is an equal opportunity employer, and the organization complies with all employment and labor laws and regulations that prohibit discrimination in hiring and ensures that candidates from all backgrounds are fairly and consistently considered during the recruitment process.
