How you will make an impact:

The Senior Manager of Shop Production is responsible for the machine shop, mold shop and equipment fabrication, ensuring projects are completed in accordance with schedules. They lead and assist the shop teams by setting scheduling priorities, problem solving and providing technical advice. The Senior Manager of Shop Production will support our production and capacity planning and identify areas of process improvement to realize efficiency gains. They evaluate external supplier quotes to determine make vs. buy based on current internal resource demand and capabilities. The Senior Manager of Shop Production also reports on departmental and project progress, as well as provides project and budgetary recommendations. They oversee employees and operations while optimizing safety, quality, teamwork, productivity, costs, and customer service.

  • Provides strong leadership and direction to the machine and mold shop teams, emphasizing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and dedication to quality.
  • Mentors and develops team members, identifying training opportunities and areas for skill enhancement.
  • Establishes and maintains a development program to train and improve fabricators/machinists' knowledge and skillset.
  • Conducts regular team meetings, ensuring clear communication regarding project updates, team performance, and company goals.
  • Determines staffing requirements for the assigned production areas.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

The skills and experience you'll need:

  • 5+ years in a Management role with proven leadership and management skills.
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Technical Education or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
  • Experience in hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and mentoring team members to drive their success.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to set priorities for multiple tasks.

US BASE PAY SCALE $133,600 - $180,100

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
