Job Description:

Summary:

This role oversees master production scheduling for assigned value streams, focusing on optimizing machine efficiency, resource allocation, inventory management, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate brings an engineering mindset, emphasizing process improvement and system optimization to enhance manufacturing performance. While some aspects may overlap with supply chain management, this is fundamentally a manufacturing role requiring an in-depth understanding of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling:

  • Develops and monitors daily/weekly production schedules to ensure efficiency and timely order completion.
  • Balances inventory levels and machine loading to optimize output and minimize downtime.
  • Establishes and manages plant capacities for both short- and long-term production planning.

Communication & Leadership:

  • Clearly communicates schedules and adjustments across departments.
  • Fosters collaboration and drives team performance through strong leadership.

Process Expertise:

  • Analyzes production capacities, identifies bottlenecks, and optimizes material flow.
  • Serves as a knowledge resource for scheduling and inventory management systems.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implements lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques to drive operational excellence.
  • Leads initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall plant performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages a team of 3+ employees, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, and production tools.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Compensation:

$120,000–$140,000 plus bonus potential, with possible relocation assistance available.

Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and heavy equipment.
