Senior Manager Project Management Development (multiple therapeutic areas)
Onsite 3 days NY/NJ area.
Summary:
Our client is looking for someone who is strong with extensive project management experience in the drug development space. You will provide operational leadership, direction and support to a team, program or project of moderate to large scope, within a given Therapeutic Area, as well as to the DPM department as a whole. You will carry out the strategic direction of a program from preclinical through commercialization by driving the development and implementation of integrated project and program plans, goals, budgets, and timelines. This role is responsible for the successful operation of activities of major significance to the organization.
Description:
- Partner with the Strategic Program Lead to provide operational leadership of programs and supports development and execution of overall program strategy by facilitating cross functional Strategic Development Team.
- Independently assessing and proactively addressing the needs of the program from pre-IND through commercialization; making operational decisions to support requirements for success.
- Strengthen and lead strong performing teams.
- Driving team alignment in creation of integrated project/program plans, timelines and budgets and ensuring efficient delivery of plans.
- Directing annual program goal setting in alignment with Regenerons overall goals and monitoring progress against these goals.
- Championing potential program risks and ensures contingency plans are in place.
- Acting as a key liaison between the company and the strategic alliance partners and collaborators.
- Help build effective teams by actively promoting constructive interactions among team members in order to address difficult situations.
- Ability to identify, critically analyze, and plan for interdependencies, risks, and issues with an awareness of the impacts to program and portfolio.
- Resolve and navigate conflict or problems with tact, diplomacy and composure.
- Must be able to balance multiple projects and priorities with outstanding organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Position involves some travel
Required:
BS or MS degree with at least 7 years project or program management experience required.
Must have pharmaceutical /biotechnology or related industry experience.
Drug development experience is a MUST, specific experience managing the development strategy for a drug candidate is necessary.
Must have experience taking a drug program from preclinical/clinical through commercialization
Position pays 160k to 190k base (depending on experience) plus bonus & stock.
Full relocation is available if needed.
