POSITION DESCRIPTION: BBBSLA is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Senior Manager of Site-Based Programs to lead its Site-Based Team (SBT) under the direction of the Senior Director of Programs. This full-time role is integral to ensure that each youth receives a high-quality mentoring experience by overseeing the recruitment, interviewing, and matching processes, providing ongoing guidance and support, conducting regular case management, and maintaining in-person contact with mentors and mentees. The Senior Manager will also regularly interface with school administrators and corporate/non-profit partners, presenting program updates and fostering strong community relationships. Additionally, this role involves monitoring and assessing quality assurance for all site-based programs, ensuring high standards of stewardship, data tracking, surveying, and reporting for our partners to support program growth and sustainability. This is a hybrid work position with a mix of virtual and in-office work. The position also requires travel for face-to-face meetings with corporate and school partners. ESSENTIAL JOB ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and lead the SBT to meet established goals and metrics, overseeing the running of programs on workplace and school sites, reviewing curriculum, and establishing positive relationships with corporate, community, non-profit, school partners and district administrators.
- Provide individual supervision for staff, weekly team meetings for group, consulting/planning.
- Responsible for facilitating site-based programs and/or supporting the SBT in on-site facilitation, interfacing with school and corporate administrators in site management and other duties as needed.
- Work closely with the Sr. Director of Programs to enhance program structure and improve data tracking and evaluation that demonstrates impact. This includes tools needed to measure outcomes (monthly reports, data tracking, surveys, etc.)
- Assess SBT's workflow and caseload to streamline work processes and increase work productivity and quality.
- Work collaboratively with others to develop strategic planning initiatives.
- In coalition with colleagues and Director of Programs, identify and coordinate professional development training opportunities for the SBT.
- Monitor infrastructure to ensure that documentation, timesheets, mileage, expense reports, event proposals and match proposals are submitted in a timely manner.
- Provide on-going feedback and conduct Annual Performance Reviews for the SBT.
- Coordinate new staff Orientation Training for all new SBT members.
- Consistently demonstrate leadership qualities including being flexible, positive, analytical, collaborative, and responsive to constructive feedback.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Programs, develop new Workplace programs by identifying local schools and potential corporate, non-profit organizations or businesses; assessing viability and determining if there is established infrastructure to support a program. This includes meeting with schools and volunteer liaisons to explore partnership potential, clarifying logistics (assessing school campus, space, parking, transportation), educating others regarding BBBSLA, and establish the timetable and MOU (service time frame, schedule, meeting requirements).
- Oversee and manage grants for Site-Based Program, identifying project goals, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators in collaboration with the Senior Director of Programs and other team members. This includes ensuring that reporting, documentation, and deliverables are on track and goals are met or exceeded.
PROGRAM DELIVERY & QUALITY ASSURANCE:
- Through scheduled in-person, telephone, and electronic contact, ascertain that the elements of child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development and mentor satisfaction are fulfilled.
- With support from the Senior Director of Programs, demonstrate ability to apply social work competencies of strength-based and culturally competent assessment, planning, referral and linkage and crisis intervention to ensure that potential problems and barriers are identified and addressed as early as possible.
- Review documentation to ensure high quality Match Support processes and written excellence.
- Ensure that the SBT members assess individual strengths and support needs for each match participant to assure a positive outcome for the child and mentor.
- Review and revise strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow.
- Coordinate the SBT's recruitment efforts of mentors and mentees through marketing activities (info sessions, flyer distribution, phone calls).
- When needed, provide line functions for recruiting, interviewing, assessing and matching mentors and mentees.
- Ensure data is tracked to demonstrate program success and impact:
- Assess data and report on all surveys, performance goals and outcome measurements.
- Review/Approve/Deny all match closures and transfers.
- Complete all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree is a plus.
- 7-10 years applicable work and supervisory experience in social services setting, with a track record of exceeding goals. Nonprofit experience is a plus.
- Work experience in the public education system or workforce/career development for underserved youth.
- Experience in case management or customer service-oriented work requiring consistent contact with clients.
