JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Supply Chain
DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain - Garlock Sealing Products
GENERAL NATURE OF JOB:
Key activities include development of the supply chain team, efficient and cost-effective sourcing of strategic direct and indirect materials and supplier relationship management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Develops and implements segment wide strategies and leads strategic sourcing activities (RFI's, RFP's, competitive sourcing events, negotiations, data analysis, supplier development and selection) to optimize costs, working capital, and commercial terms.
* Leads strategic sourcing activities for the business or businesses assigned. This will include domestic and offshore activities. Brings forward potential business development and new product introduction opportunities to the product management teams as they arise.
* Serves as active member of Garlock North America leadership team and Enpro Supply Chain Council to help create a vision and strategies for the organization's success. Actively documents Garlock's quarterly strategic supply chain performance to Enpro's C Suite, Garlock's General Manager and the Sealing Segment President. Establishes Garlock's annual Cost Savings and Performance outlook and reports progress monthly using a centralized reporting tool.
* Leads supply chain / sourcing team in a fashion that provides excellent business partnership and support services to internal and external stakeholders. Continuously assessing, developing, hiring and performance managing talent are key components of this role.
* Facilitates activities with engineering and other departments in the clarification and establishes development of clear and concise purchasing specifications for materials, products and equipment. Acts as the lead liaison between suppliers and the organization in communicating these specifications.
* Leads supply chain / sourcing team in identifying and mitigating supply chain and supplier risks including those associated with single and sole source suppliers. Facilitates organizational activities to address and eliminate identified risks; this may include second sourcing, inventory arrangements or material obsolescence and replacement activities.
* Leads Supply Chain team members through negotiations with suppliers to support best in-class service levels, costs and working capital performance. This will include long and short-term contracts, and renewals related to products, materials, utilities, software, capital equipment and other essential goods and services.
* Maintains overall surveillance and integrity of statutory and/or Garlock systems process and audit requirements. Recommends additions or modifications to overall purchasing procedures and/or methods to improve standardization and functionality.
* Leads and facilitates Garlock ERP implementation and Accounts Payable Automation projects for the Supply Chain function.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
* Ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.
* Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) with the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)or equivalent
* Minimum of 10 years of meaningful category management and strategic sourcing experience across direct and indirect material categories on a global scale.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in directly leading and managing teams of strategic and tactical supply chain professionals in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and ERP operating systems
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills across regions, functions, and levels; fluent in English
* Embraces and works well in ambiguous situations.
* Excellent analytical and project management capabilities.
* Keen collaboration and influencing skills; works effectively in a matrixed organization.
* Proven and demonstrable record of cost reduction for direct and indirect materials and transportation services.
* Excellent negotiator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is primarily an onsite role in an office environment, some manufacturing floor exposure, some travel (5% to 10% will be required)

These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $106,400-172,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
