Job Description:

Innovative Driven is currently seeking a Senior Managing Attorney to join and lead the eDiscovery and Litigation Technology group at a global law firm, based in their NYC office. The ideal candidate will have a combination of previous hands-on eDiscovery, litigation practice, and team management experience

This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity for an experienced, dynamic eDiscovery leader to join a truly amazing and dynamic firm!

The role will be hybrid. For the first six months, it would be ideal for the Senior Managing Attorney to work onsite 2-3 days a week, with 1-2 days a week expected, thereafter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Global Head of eDiscovery, participate in strategic planning for global discovery group
  • Oversee more than 100 people, and manage up to 20 direct attorney reports
  • Serve as primary point of contact for New York attorneys and clients related to early stages of litigations and disputes involving eDiscovery
  • Advise clients on substantive legal and technological issues across the EDRM space
  • Interface with in-house e-discovery lawyers and key team members
  • Advise on legal and technological issues associated with e-discovery
  • Maintain an expertise in the newest e-discovery tools and workflows, including machine learning and GenAI
  • Assist in managing the e-discovery group's budget
  • Develop and implement best protocol and workflow to maximize the overall production and profitability of the e-discovery group
  • Regularly participate in conferences and publish on relevant e-discovery issues, tools and technologies

REQUIREMENTS:

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited school
  • Active member of the NY bar
  • Excellent academic and litigation background
  • Previous eDiscovery experience from a vendor or large law firm
  • Extensive experience leading and managing large teams of attorneys
  • Extensive experience with current e-discovery case law
  • Expertise with a wide range of e-discovery technology
  • Previous experience using machine learning and AI
  • Experience with e-discovery issues in large, complex disputes
  • Client-facing experience is required
