About Our ClientMy client is a multinational company specializing in aerospace, defense, and security technologies. Specifically, they focus on the development and manufacturing of advanced components for the aerospace industry.Job DescriptionThe main responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and update procedures and work instructions by incorporating operator feedback, equipment capabilities, process data, and customer specifications.
  • Guide and mentor engineers in areas such as best practices, workstation design, cost optimization, and process improvement strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance the SPC database for production parts to proactively detect and mitigate process deviations.
  • Collaborate directly with production teams to refine processes and provide comprehensive training to operators.
  • Participate in MRB reviews of nonconforming parts, including conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with the data team to create efficient and effective reporting tools.

The Successful ApplicantThe successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the following background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and tooling.
  • Experience working on the production floor, engaging with equipment, processes, and manufacturing teams.
  • Skilled in interpreting and working with engineering drawings.
  • Self-driven, capable of managing ambiguity, and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AS9100C or ISO9001 standards and commitment to compliance.
