Komatsu supports a myriad of markets, including housing, infrastructure, water, pipeline, minerals, automobile, aerospace, electronics and medical, through its many brands and subsidiaries, including TimberPro, Joy, P&H, Montabert, Modular Mining Systems, Hensley Industries, NTC, and Gigaphoton.Job OverviewCoordinate and participate in capital planning at the site and regional level, write appropriations requests for plant projects and expansionsDevelop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system in manufacturing setting.Lead 6S events and develop systems to maintain results.Plan and execute continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles and/or value stream maps.Manage Design for Manufacturability and Assembly - engaging with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chainKey Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and execute the observation, documentation or simulation of manufacturing processesUnderstand data interactions with other departments and systems; Understand and update capacity and scheduling areas of SAP; Determine and implement SAP capacity schemes for manufacturing locationsProcess engineering changes for manufacturing drawings, routers, programs, and work instructionsQualifications/Requirements4 year degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing with a minimum of 8 years of experience required.Strong background in Lean Six Sigma.
