Job Overview
Coordinate and participate in capital planning at the site and regional level, write appropriations requests for plant projects and expansions
Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system in manufacturing setting.
Lead 6S events and develop systems to maintain results.
Plan and execute continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles and/or value stream maps.
Manage Design for Manufacturability and Assembly - engaging with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain
Key Job Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute the observation, documentation or simulation of manufacturing processes
Understand data interactions with other departments and systems; Understand and update capacity and scheduling areas of SAP; Determine and implement SAP capacity schemes for manufacturing locations
Process engineering changes for manufacturing drawings, routers, programs, and work instructions
Qualifications/Requirements
4 year degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing with a minimum of 8 years of experience required.
Strong background in Lean Six Sigma. Preferably Black Belt level training.
Strong written communication skills
Ability to express manufacturing concepts conversationally in meetings, face to face, over the phone and in email
Ability to work with people on a manufacturing floor in a productive, non-combative nature
Can plan and manage projects with manufacturing engineers, other internal departments, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to meet deadlines
