Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for leading the most complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of the most complex technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing the services, and influencing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Market Data Technology & Services (MDT&S), is a function within Application Production Services & Engineering, responsible for the full product lifecycle for News, Real-time, Reference and Index data across the firm.Organized globally MDT&S consists of the following departments:Business Advisory & Inventory managementTechnical Engineering & DevelopmentTechnical OperationsService DeliveryEngineering & Development are responsible for the architecture and development of market data technologies deployed at the firm. The team's goal is to provide a reliable managed market data service that can be used by business groups to facilitate the dissemination of pricing data globally in the firm.The new hire will be a senior member of the Market Data Engineering team and will play a key role in designing and deploying technology solutions to meet business and enterprise requirements.The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in market data technologies. The position will involve working closely with senior technologists from the engineering, operations and development communities, so excellent communication and technical skills are a must.Responsibilities:Serves as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomesDevelops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes and contributes to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provides feedback to the architecture teamsTranslates business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policiesParticipates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domainsLeads the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purposeMentors and guides team members to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standardsCreates an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockersRequired Qualifications:7+ years of combined Technology and Market Data experience in an Enterprise environmentDemonstrates strong technical credibilityKnowledge of Market Data and related infrastructure technologies (e.g. TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Unix, Linux, Networking)Experience in the design and deployment of large-scale Market Data/technology solutionsGood working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating environmentsExcellent scripting ability (Bash, Python)Good knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, Routing Protocols, Security)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exposure to programming to market data APIs (RFA, RT-SDK, Bloomberg etc)Facilitating and managing change - experience of Market Data delivery projects or components of change programsProviding 3rd level support as the highest level of internal technical escalationExperience of undertaking beta testing and feedback programs with key vendorsExcellent communication skills, written and verbalExcellent interpersonal skillsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical or engineering disciplineExperience with direct exchange feeds and feed handling technologiesProgramming in a core language (C++, Java, Python)CI/CD Tooling (Git, Jira, Ansible)Understanding of RESTful principles, best practices and related technologiesSkills:AdaptabilityBusiness AcumenProduction SupportSolution DesignStakeholder ManagementAutomationInfluenceInnovative ThinkingSolution Delivery ProcessTechnical Strategy DevelopmentApplication DevelopmentArchitectureCollaborationProject ManagementResult OrientationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - NY - New York - 1100 Ave Of The Americas - Two Bryant Park (NY1540)Pay and benefits informationPay range$150,000.00 - $190,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
