Position Summary: The Senior Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, shipping and material movement duties, as well as maintaining inventory levels, with a focus on achieving manufacturing, supply chain and quality goals. The position will involve direct communication with internal and external customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack orders accurately and ensure relevant documentation is prepared
- Receive and process products from suppliers and manufacturing
- Ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored efficiently and accurately
- Conduct physical inventory counts
- Complete all necessary paperwork for departmental transactions
- Maintain warehouse and work areas in compliance with 5S principles and safety policies
- Drive trucks for product transportation
- Provide training to others in department
- Identify areas for improvement to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce errors
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of shipping/receiving or data entry experience
- Proficient in computer use
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable using material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklift, floor jack and order picker
- Truck driving experience preferred
