Job Description:Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Mechanic, Lead Mechanic or Senior Lead Mechanic located at our Montgomery County Yardwaste facility in Dickerson, MD. This position performs installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects.
Estimated Pay Range:Senior Mechanic - $53,131.16 - $73,055.88Lead Mechanic - $58,444.70 - $80,361.47Sr Lead Mechanic - $64,289.46 - $88,397.83

Minimum Requirements:Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate plus 5-8 years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Appointment to some sites may require Commercial Driver's License with specific endorsements.
Preferred experience:Experience working in heavy equipment repair, diesel equipment repair, environmental processing equipment, windrow turners, wheel loaders, tractors and forklifts.This position will be open until filled.Maryland Environmental Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
