Job Title:Senior Mechanical Engineer HVAC - DOD ClearanceOverview of the Company:Only open to remote candidates based in specific approved states (AL, CO, FL, GA, MD, NM, OK, TN, TX, VA), the company is in search of a Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team. The company focuses on producing project design packages of drawings, specifications, and calculations and requires periodic travel to project site locations, including international travel. The successful candidate will interface with and present designs to Federal, State, and Local government client contacts.Some of Benefits Include:Consistently voted a top workplace by their employeesMultiple medical & dental packages to choose fromIndustry leading benefits package including 401k employer matchInternal training programs offered at all levelsKey Responsibilities:Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design workDevelop mechanical construction and equipment specificationsEvaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and criteriaPerform engineering quality assurance checks of project designsSupport new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedulesRequired Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited ProgramPE LicenseExperience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design and associated engineering calculationsExperience sizing and selecting HVAC and plumbing/piping equipmentProficient in editing and writing mechanical construction and equipment specificationsProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, experience using HVAC computer load and design programs such as Trane Trace software, knowledge of Revit building information modeling software, and familiarity with AutoCADWorking knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards. Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, and IBC codesCurrent passportU.S. CitizenshipActive Secret clearance required with eligibility to obtain Top Secret with SCIDesired Qualifications:Twelve (12) years of experience.LEED or Green Globes accreditation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
