Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Philadelphia!
My client, are turning over $200M annually, growing 125% YoY as a result of numerous, successful strategic acquisition. They are a rapidly growing designer, manufacturer and installer of mission critical components. Are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer that can play a pivotal role in helping them become the largest Mission Critical Solutions Provider in the States. They have doubled in size over the past 12 months.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of sophisticated mechanical systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design and Development: Create detailed designs for mechanical structures, supports, BUS work, electrical controls, metering, and communications to meet precise customer requirements. Your designs will include low and medium voltage electrical switchgear assemblies, replacement breakers, and other related equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive parts lists, metal drawings, BUS drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals efficiently and accurately. Develop and maintain clear engineering reports and submittals that address the technical needs of various projects.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with vendors, production teams, and other engineers to ensure that your designs are manufacturable, meet client specifications, and comply with functional and regulatory requirements. Support other departments such as project management, production, and sales with your engineering expertise.
- Quality and Process Improvement: Follow and refine standard design processes and best practices to enhance quality and efficiency in engineering design. Address and resolve design issues throughout the product lifecycle to ensure functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the design of electrical switchgear and related systems. A strong background in electromechanical design, circuit design, and electrical design is essential. Expertise in Switchgear experience is preferable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D), AutoCAD Mechanical, and Autodesk Inventor (3D) is required. Experience with MV Metal Clad, is highly desirable.
- Education: A 4-year Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred. A PE license in power systems and controls is advantageous, or you should demonstrate the ability to acquire one.
- Attention to Detail: You should be highly detail-oriented and organized, with a passion for working closely with production teams to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
