We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems for our Building Engineering Division. Location: Charlotte, NCOur Building Engineering Division provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Position Overview: The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing a variety of mechanical projects and will work with clients to provide HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, studies and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with clients and project teams and will be a key contributor in the development of drawings and documents. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and review mechanical drawings and documents.
- Provide leadership for design projects including HVAC, plumbing, process piping systems and fire protection design.
- Evaluate mechanical products and processes.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of design and construction.
- Consult with clients to ensure their project needs are met.
- Maintain knowledge of current codes and regulations related to mechanical engineering.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience with a professional A/E services firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
- Knowledge of current codes and regulations related to mechanical engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- PE certification is preferred.
